Tuuli Saarela is an Associate at Axis Legal and one of the only “obroni” called to the bar in Ghana. She completed an LLB degree at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and is a graduate of Ghana School of Law (Makola Campus) Professional Law Course. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations from the University of California at Santa Barbara. 

Ms. Saarela enters a career in law after 15 years of experience as a business development consultant in the real estate, IT and oil & gas sectors in West and South Africa. She is skilled and knowledgeable about many practical aspects of commercial law, having been a Director of Constructs R&D Company Limited, a design + build company in Accra and Company Secretary of the NGO ArchiAfrika for 7 years. Ms. Saarela is also Director of the Finnish Business Council of West Africa, an association of Finnish companies operating in West Africa.
